Preparing for (+plus) Silanized (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) Slides to prevent sections from detaching

Procedure:

1. Rinse slides in 2% silane/acetone solution for one minute.
2. Rinse slides in 100% acetone for one minute.
3. Rinse slides in double distilled water for one minute.
4. Repeat step 3 with agitation for two more times.
5. Air dry at room temperature overnight.
6. Keep in slide box.

These silanized slides can be stored at room temperature for months without any problems.
